Our Mission
The 麻豆影院 Counseling Center assists students in the accomplishment of tasks that are essential to their personal and educational development. The Center's programming is designed to facilitate students' retention and graduation by providing quality, time-effective services: through individual and group counseling; outreach services; individual, organizational, and departmental consultation; crisis intervention; training; and research.
Counseling Center staff are involved in community building, prevention, and education, and thus collaborate and consult with other departments to improve the interrelationships of all areas of this urban college. To this end, the Center promotes the understanding and integration of multicultural issues and African American Psychology in all services and programs. The Center is dedicated to building a college community that permits all its members to grow and to be successful in an environment of equity, respect, and inclusion.

Our team of counselors and psychologists is equipped to provide a wide range of services to facilitate and empower the mental health and wealth of 麻豆影院 students. Our services include:
Morehouse Mental Health Ambassador Program
The Morehouse Mental Health Ambassador Program (MMAP) is a peer-to-peer model of support for the mental health needs of the students and educators of 麻豆影院. This program allows educators and students to learn and be equipped with the knowledge needed to recognize mental health vulnerabilities in themselves and in their peers, relate and identify expressed needs, and make appropriate referrals to Counseling Services, or to a resource within the Community.
Eligibility
Responsibilities & Time Commitment
The selection process for the 2026 鈥 2027 ambassador cohort will begin in March 2026. You can apply to be a mental health ambassador by clicking . Application deadline is March 31, 2026.

Please note that requests be made three weeks in advance of the anticipated event date to ensure staffing availability.
After submitting a request, a staff member will contact you. If you have not heard from us within five business days, feel free to give us a call at 470-639-0231.

To support students during breaks between academic semesters and the transitional period following graduation, MCCS has curated a list of community providers who are ready to receive and support the Morehouse community beyond campus!
Please click the to access the Georgia referral resource list. Should you have any questions, please contact our office at counseling@morehouse.edu and allow 24- 48 hours of response time during the academic semester, and five (5) business days during academic breaks for a response.
For those who need referrals outside of Georgia, please contact our office at counseling@morehouse.edu to schedule a brief consultation to review available options.

Ellison Student Health Center) in Brazeal Hall, Ground Floor on the north end of campus Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.* For emergency assistance, call the Morehouse Police Department at (470) 639-0562 on-campus or 911 if off-campus.
Introducing the 麻豆影院 Crisis Text Line. In collaboration with the AE Foundation, Crisis Text Line will provide 24/7, confidential mental health resources to all students at 麻豆影院 via text. Text 鈥淢OREHOUSE to 741741.鈥 Morehouse students also have access to The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), and the Georgia Crisis & Access Line at (800) 715-4225 or 988.
